Being able to see in the dark is one of the oldest dreams of humankind. Since early times, humans needed to rely on their vision to hunt in low light situations or to spot predators as early as possible. We envy cats and owls for their night vision. We’d love to share the same abilities that would allow us to cope with darkness.
The good news is that there are optical aids that help us see through the darkest darkness of the night. The greatest spies and private detectives in movies use night vision goggles to view their targets.
